Volunteers are the heart of our team at Samaritan Care Hospice. Your caring hearts, gentle spirits and helping hands assist our patients and families in immeasurable ways.
Perhaps you’ve been contemplating becoming a hospice volunteer. According to The Hospice Foundation of America, volunteers in hospice find it personally gratifying, intellectually stimulating, and emotionally meaningful to assist those in need at a critical point in their lives. Many volunteers were introduced to hospice through the death of a family member and understand first hand the value of hospice care. However, nearly 20% of volunteers have no direct experience with hospice.
